Hello, learning friends! Happy Thursday!
Today, we had our Math class in the gym and were tasked with solving the following question:
How Many 7’s
If you write out the numbers from 1 to 1000, how many times will you write the number 7?
We all approached the question with different strategies, and many of us were able to solve it and move onto to extension of 1-10 000! Bravo!
For Français, Mme read us the book L'anniversaire by Robert Munsch and then we had the chance to start planning our own over-the-top party. You should hear some of the extravagant ideas we have! Our goal today was to write out our party plan in point form, and next week we will begin taking our ideas and writing them in sentence/paragraph form. Stay tuned!

AGENDA
1. Time to start French home reading again! If you've been out of routine over the break, today is a great day to login to Je lis and get started again!
2. Time for a bit of organization! This week, students have been asked to take a look at their binders and their supply boxes to see what sort of state they are in. They have also been asked to check their supplies. Do they need more pencils? Pens? Did they even get dividers put into their binder? Can they finally bring in a Hilroy scribbler for Math? Please check in with your child to make sure they are set for a great second term!
