Happy Tuesday!

Hello, learning friends!

It's great to be back after our three-day weekend!

We started our morning sharing about our weekend with our classmates: either the best thing we did or the best thing we ate.

Then in Math, we worked with our table partners to solve an emoji word problem.

In Science, we got caught up with all of our weekend tomato observations, and in Français, we played a new game and had some time to work on writing our drafts for our goals.

Items of note:

1. Many students were not finished their mental math practice questions (Section B) today. The questions were assigned Thursday of last week. We will be correcting the questions tomorrow (Wednesday) in class instead.

2. Keeping track of assignments (agendas and other options) - As a result of many incomplete Math sheets (refer to item 1), we had a brief chat about ways of keeping track of school tasks, whether it be an agenda, a homework folder, sticky notes or checking our classroom blog daily (a shortcut link can easily be placed on the home screen of a smartphone or tablet if students are connected to technology). Developing a routine now will ensure continued success as we move further into the school year. Please check in with you child to see what system they have in place for keeping track of their school work.
