Hello, families!
We had a great 2nd morning of school together!
We started our day with Mr. Bodnar, our technology teacher! Day 2 and 5 (periods 1 and 2), we have 'AP' on our schedules which stands for 'les arts pratiques' (or 'practical arts'). During this time, until we have a bit more flexibility to move throughout the building to different classrooms, we will have AP in our homeroom classroom and complete different mental health, mindfulness and theory-based lessons. Please ask me what we worked on with Mr. Bodnar this morning!
Once back with Mme Careen during periods 3 and 4, we had the chance to sort/store more of our supplies and ask questions (like, who is in that random picture on your wall, Mme?) and clarify information from yesterday (are we allowed to take our masks off outside during lunch break?). We then listened to the story Be You by Peter H. Reynolds, completed a silly True/False Quiz all about Mme Careen (Bravo to one student who scored 9/10!) and finished the morning with a Smarties sharing activity to learn more about our new classmates. Please ask me about who was in my Smarties-sharing group and something I learned about my new class friends.
We are settling in to being back at school and are off to a great start!
Wishing you all a great afternoon! :)
Smarties sharing! Each colour Smartie represents a different 'nugget' of information to share. |
RED: something you did yesterday; PINK: something you wish you were eating right now; etc. |

AGENDA
1. Please return lunch form, medical form and student-parent questionnaire as soon as possible. (By Friday would be great!)
2. Please visit and follow our classroom blog! (If you're already here, welcome! ☺)
3. Please send additional requested supplies as soon as you are able and ensure supplies are labeled. Markers, glue stick, ruler, scibblers, etc. can be kept in class in personal boxes provided to students. Binders, unfortunately, are too large for the boxes and will have to be transported to and from school daily as we currently do not have enough storage space to safely keep them. Thank you for your patience and flexibility!
